Support : Dialog Search Aids : Successful Searching : SAVE : Name Option SAVE (continued) Name Option
The Name option allows you to assign your own one- to 30-character name to the SearchSave or Alert. If you are creating an Alert, you can name it when prompted to include the name when entering the SAVE ALERT command. The response to a SAVE command confirms storage of the strategy and either assigns it a serial number or stores it under the name you chose. Serial numbers consist of two letters followed by 8-9 digits, e.g., SE537951751. The first letter is S or T, depending on whether the command used is SAVE or SAVE TEMP, respectively. To assign a name to a SearchSave, simply enter the desired name after your SAVE, SAVE TEMP, or SAVE ALERT command. You may enter up to 30 characters when naming a search, including letters, numbers, the underscore character, #, @, or $. The name must include one letter. Several words are disallowed because a conflict would arise with the SAVE command option, e.g., the words FROM and UPDATE are not allowed when entering a SearchSave name. (The system displays a message if you enter one of the reserved words.) For example, the command
generates a permanent SearchSave "BROMO". To execute this search, use EXS BROMO. • To name a SearchSave: ?s (animal and research)/de
440775 ANIMAL/DE
36951 RESEARCH/DE
S1 2769 (ANIMAL AND RESEARCH)/DE
?s epilepsy/de
S2 37978 EPILEPSY/DE
