Document Delivery via Dialog

Dialog offers deliver of journal articles and patents. For more information on how to order journal articles, please see our ejournal linking information.

Dialog SourceOne

Patents, file histories for patents and trademarks, and other publications may be ordered through Dialog SourceOne. Charges for documents ordered via SourceOne are automatically posted to your Dialog account.

Patents may be ordered online using a simple fill-in-the-blanks form. The Web-based document ordering portal, shown below, is available in

• DialogClassic Web or DialogLink 5: while logged on to the Dialog service, click the shopping cart icon on the menu bar.


• DialogSelect or DialogWeb: while logged on to the Dialog service, click the "Order" button on the menu bar at the top of the screen.

The SourceOne Document Delivery Portal is not available in the DialogClassic text-only interface.

From the list of choices, select from DigiPat File Histories — Patents, DigiPat File Histories — U.S. Federal Trademarks, Thomson Patent Store (patents in PDF format), or Document Delivery (i.e., all other types of documents). Fill in the order form and verify that the delivery address shown on the form is correct. To update the delivery address, click the "Change Delivery Profile" link above the address.

• Ordering Documents via the SourceOne Online Menu

When connected to the Dialog service using a product that supports Dialog Command Language, DialogClassic, DialogClassic Web, DialogLink 5, or DialogWeb—Command, enter the command ORDER to access the menu-driven document ordering system, shown below. Order patents by entering patent numbers or by entering set and item numbers from your current search. There are also menu options for reviewing the status of existing orders. A series of prompts guides you through the ordering process. Charges for documents ordered appear on your Dialog invoice.
