Multifile Searching on DataStarWeb–Advanced Search

Now you can search multiple files simultaneously in DataStarWeb – Advanced Search, exactly as you do in Easy Search. Previously, users could only conduct a search in one file at a time in Advanced Search.

You can take advantage of the added functionality offered only in Advanced Search, such as the thesaurus feature, lists of search options, or quick codes, by searching one file at a time. You will notice that the "A" button on the interface has been replaced by an "Advanced Search" button.

Here's how it works:

Step 1: From Databases, select files to search and click advanced search.

Step 2: Enter search terms and any search restrictions such as date range or language.

Step 3: Click show titlesof individual databases of the set containing records from all three files.
