Dialog Alerts Enhancements

• Dialog Alerts are now available in XML format on Dialog, in addition to ASCII text, TAG and HTML formats. Alerts in XML are delivered electronically and can be used for easy integration into other applications, including portal feeds and DialogLink 5 Microsoft® Word and Excel reports. Where available, Alerts delivered in XML format include Dialog eLinks. Use PRINT command syntax to set up the Alert:

• You can now create Alerts and saved searches (SearchSaves®) with names up to 40 characters long instead of the previous character limit of eight (8). The only restrictions are that the name include at least one letter and contain no special characters, including spaces and symbols.
