OLDMEDLINE, 1951-1965, Now on Dialog

Over 1.5 million OLDMEDLINE citations covering the years 1951-1965 have been added to MEDLINE® (File 155). The OLDMEDLINE indexes provide online access to material that would previously have been difficult to track unless you had a full set of printed MEDLINE indexes at your disposal.

OLDMEDLINE citations were created using standards that are different from the data entry standards for MEDLINE records. They lack the accumulated changes and improvements that have been made to data in other National Library of Medicine (NLM) files during annual reloads. Refer to the NLM Technical Bulletin at www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/so03/so03_oldmedline.html for further information about the changes between MEDLINE and OLDMEDLINE. OLDMELDINE is also available on Dialog DataStar as part of MEZZ and in its own file, ME65.
