OldMedline, 1951-1965, Now on Dialog DataStar

Over 1.5 million OldMedline citations covering the years 1951-1965 have been added to Dialog DataStar. The data is available in its own database ME65 but can also be searched as part of MEZZ. The OldMedline indexes provide online access to material that would previously have been difficult to track unless you have a full set of printed MEDLINE indexes at your disposal.

OldMedline citations were created using standards that are different from the data entry standards for MEDLINE records. They lack the accumulated changes and improvements that have been made to data in other National Library of Medicine (NLM) files during annual reloads. It is expected that OldMedline will become available on Dialog later in 2004.
