Other possibilities include keeping up to date on local and regional economic news, the latest technological or scientific developments, changes in legislation that could affect your markets, or the latest patent applications. You can even monitor how your own organization is being viewed in the press. In fact, with Alerts, the applications are endless! Setting up Alerts involves a simple procedure of presetting search criteria to match your information requirements. Once this is done, the databases are automatically searched each time they are updated, and any new information is delivered directly to you either by e-mail, fax or postal mail. On Dialog, Alerts have recently been enhanced to allow a single Alert profile to be stored and run against multiple files. Duplicate removal is available across files and for up to 12 months. The Alert may be run according to the file's update frequency or according to a custom calendar-based schedule. There are no additional prices for these enhanced features.
