Support : Publications : Chronolog Archives : Sep/Oct 2002 Dialog SourceOne Document Delivery Enhancements Dialog now gives searchers the ability to order copyright-cleared copies of original documents on an as-needed basis. These documents provide the fulltext, as well as any charts, tables, graphs and pictures in the original. Orders can be placed using DialogWeb, DialogClassic Web™, DialogSelectSM, Dialog1 and DialogLink®. Document Delivery on Dialog Intranet Toolkit Now you can incorporate the Dialog delivery service into your custom Intranet Toolkit Solution. As part of the SourceOne 6.3 release, a link can be created on your customized Dialog Intranet Toolkit page allowing your users to order copies of published documents, including journal articles, theses and dissertations, specifications and standards, technical reports and books. To begin using this service, create a link that points to the URL http://toolkit.dialog.com/intranet/cgi/orderInfo.cgi?Mode=0. Whenever your users identify records on Dialog that are of interest to them, they can select the links and order copies of the fulltext of the documents to be mailed, express mailed, faxed, and in some cases where PDF is available, e-mailed to them. This service is especially valuable if your organization searches the Dialog collection of scientific, technical, and medical databases because many of these databases are bibliographic. These documents will be invoiced as part of your existing Dialog account removing the need for you to negotiate with a third party for your document delivery needs. Call your Dialog sales representative for more information or check the Dialog Web site at: http://www.dialog.com/products/docdelivery/. |
