Support : Publications : Chronolog Archives : Sep/Oct 2002 Food Science & Technology Abstracts - Now Available Dialog is extending the collection of scientific research for a fixed subscription cost with the addition of Food Science & Technology Abstracts (FSTA). FSTA is available using a Web interface with the Dialog@Site solution. Customers will have the choice of loading the database locally on their intranets behind their firewalls for total security or remotely via one of the Dialog@Site servers if Internet access is preferred. The Dialog@Site interface is fully customizable offering customers the opportunity to choose the branding, language and look appropriate to their users. FSTA is the largest and most respected collection of food science, food technology and food-related human nutrition abstracts. It is compiled by a team of specialist scientists dedicated to producing a database of consistent high quality and timeliness. It currently contains over 580,000 records with approximately 2,000 new records added every month. The file includes journal articles (approximately 80%) plus patents, theses, standards, legislation, books, reviews and conference proceedings. IFIS works hard to include those sources that are not always easy to obtain making it a key resource for industrial, academic, and governmental users. FSTA keeps users up to date in all areas that relate to food and beverages including the latest research, new product development, quality assurance and control, food safety, food composition, regulations, and consumer trends. |
