Editing an Alert Strategy on DataStar Classic

Sometimes the information you need from an Alert changes or perhaps a database is modified with new features or search syntax. It is important to keep your Alert strategy current. The easiest way to edit an Alert strategy is to use the command ..EDIT.

To change your Alert strategy, begin by entering the database label BASE. When prompted enter the command ..DISPLAY TYPE=ALERT. This will display all of your Alert query numbers.

D-S - SEARCH MODE - ENTER SEARCH TERMS
BASE 1_:..D TYPE=ALERT

THE FOLLOWING ALERT QUERIES FOUND:
Q0161 Q0162 Q0167 Q0184 Q0185 Q0186 Q0187
Q0188 Q0192

END OF DISPLAY

At the next prompt, enter ..EDIT and the query number e.g., ..EDIT Q0184. Now you are on your way to editing the Alert.
