New Online Course for Pharmaceutical Searchers: Key Drug Pipeline Databases on Dialog

Dialog has an extensive collection of pharmaceutical databases, among them files that focus on the drug development process from inception to post-launch. "Key Drug Pipeline Databases on Dialog" is a free,self-paced course designed to help you better understand the content of the Dialog drug pipeline databases.

The course contains six lessons, plus the wrap-up. Lesson 1, "Drug Pipeline Directory Basics," gives an overview of the drug development process, defines a drug development directory, and introduces the data elements common to all drug pipeline directories. Lessons 2 through 5 contain detailed reviews of the features of the following pipeline databases: IMSWorld R&D Focus (Files 445/955), Pharmaprojects (File 128/928), Adis R&D Insight (Files 107/907), and NDA Pipeline: New Drugs (File 189). Lesson 6 covers the Prous databases, including Drug Data Report (File 452), Drugs of the Future (File 453), and Science Daily Essentials (Files 458, 459). Exercises at the end of each lesson reinforce the material just covered.
