Dialog Alerts Enhanced

New features add convenience and power to Dialog Alerts. These enhancements will enable you to:

• Set up Alerts in multiple files at the same time
  
  
• Specify automatic removal of duplicates
  
  
• Set Alerts to run automatically when the database is updated, or by setting a date and time that you prefer, such as once a week on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m.
  
  
• Deliver images with documents as part of the Alert
  
  
• Choose among several delivery options, including e-mail, fax, postal mail, and ftp
  
  

The new enhanced Alerts will be available on DialogClassic, DialogClassic Web, and DialogWeb (Command and Guided modes).

Pricing will remain the same as for the current Alert service on Dialog. The Alert charge will consist of the profile charge plus the output charge. Record bundling, which provides 20 records at no additional charge, will be available in many files.

Alerts Tips

If you wish, you can include scheduling choices in the SAVE ALERT command to bypass prompts:

    ?SAVE ALERT UPDATE

    ?SAVE ALERT CUSTOM

The frequency may be entered as well:

    ?SAVE ALERT CUSTOM DAY

You can also name the Alert in the SAVE ALERT command line:

    ?SAVE ALERT CUSTOM WEEK THOMAS

And combine parameters:

    ?SAVE ALERT CUSTOM WEEK THOMAS FROM 6,8
