Effective July 9, 2002, PIRA (Packaging, Paper, Printing and Publishing, Imaging and Nonwovens Abstracts) (File 248/PIRA) has announced changes to its codes for the Imaging Abstracts file sub-section. The classification codes will stay the same but will represent different subject headings. There will be no structural change to the databases and the changes will not be retroactive. Details of the new subject headings can be found in BASE on DataStar -- search BASE-PIRA. Alerts set up in PIRA should be reviewed to ensure their continued relevance.
