New Information Channels to be Added to DialogPRO

DialogPRO, the Dialog product for small businesses, has added several new information channels. In addition to the Advertising and News modules that were released in February, channels for Biotech, Consulting, Competitive Intelligence, and Defense will be available soon.

New Channels
DialogPRO is a collection of modules or information channels that are focused on specific markets. Each channel has three distinct subscription levels, Primary, Plus, and Premier, allowing customers to choose the package that fits into their budgets. The new channels include the following:

Biotech: This channel is perfect for small biotech companies who are just getting started. Access is provided to leading news, research, and patent information. A Biotech PRO subscription will enable small companies in the Biotech industry to access leading content such as Derwent Biotechnology Resource, Dialog NewsRoom, PCT Patents Fulltext, and others.

Consulting: Small consulting companies can now access premium content at an affordable price with DialogPRO Consulting. Analysts and researchers can evaluate industry trends, clients, and best practices with the offerings available in the Consulting channel. Searchers will be able to retrieve content focused to their specific needs, including information from Business & Industry™, Gale Group Management Contents, Gale Group Trade & Industry Database™, and Dialog NewsRoom.

Competitive Intelligence: The competitive intelligence channel is anoffering that will appeal to a wide range of industries. Knowledge professionals in small businesses who engage in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and business development activities will find that the "CI" PRO will meet their needs at an affordable price. Searchers can find biographical, company, industry, patent, and trademark information in this channel. Content is provided by Dialog NewsRoom, Gale Group, and Thomson & Thomson.

Defense: The defense industry has been completely reshaped since the events on September 11, and the Defense PRO channel allows smaller defense companies who are engaged in developing emerging technologies to obtain the content they need to perform research and follow the trends in their industry. They can access sources, such as Dialog Defense Newsletters, FBO Daily (formerly Commerce Business Daily), Gale Group Aerospace/Defense Markets & Technology®, and others.

Advertising: The advertising channel is targeted to the needs of small advertising firms. Searchers can select brand, company, market, and news information from leading sources like the Advertiser and Agency Red Books™, Brands and Their Companies, Business & Industry™, the Chicago Tribune, Gale Group Marketing & Advertising Reference Service®, Gale Group PROMT®, and the New York Times®.

NewsPRO: Searchers in small businesses who need quality news information can access the world's leading collection of news in DialogPRO, including the Financial Times, New York Times, Dialog Global Reporter, Gale Group Magazine Database®, Gale Group PROMT, and Dialog NewsRoom.
