New Enhancements on Profound for the Internet

Indexing Display on Profound for the Internet

A new display option will allow users to display the indexing terms of an article or report. If this option is selected, the market sectors, geographic locations, and scope terms under which the data has been indexed will appear at the end of each article or downloaded section of a report. This new feature will provide users with indexing terms to assist in creating further search strategies and can serve to summarize the core subjects contained within the data.

New Chargeback Feature

Many customers who "bill back" to clients have requested that users enter subaccount codes before starting to search Profound. Now following the logon window, users will have the option to be taken directly to a subaccount page where they can enter their subaccount code of choice. This feature can be customized by going to Preferences and choosing from among three options:

  1. show the subaccount page,
  2. do not show the subaccount page, or
  3. show the page and enforce the subaccount.

If the "enforce" feature is set, users will not be allowed to enter any further into Profound until they have typed in a subaccount code. If users decide not to show the subaccount page, they will be able to access the subaccount field from the search pages from a link on the bottom navigation bar as is currently the case.
