Dialog@SiteTechnique

In previous Chronolog issues you have seen examples of the Dialog@Site interface customized for users in specific regions of the world. For example, we provide translated Dialog@Site interfaces for Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish, Swedish, and German-speaking users, to name a few.

It is also extremely valuable for Dialog@Site customers to be able to totally re-brand the @Site interface to reflect their organization's own 'look and feel.' Dialog has customized Dialog@Site for many organizations including Standard & Poor's, who have chosen to access their own database — Standard & Poor's Corporations — via the Web using the Dialog@Site software. In Figures 1 and 2, you can see the customized version of the Dialog@Site interface reflecting the Information Provider's own branding and style, alongside the default Dialog@Site interface.

Because Dialog@Site also runs on an intranet, many customers choose to do this customization themselves; the Dialog databases are loaded securely behind their firewall and with the fully customized Dialog@Site software the users see a familiar user-friendly interface ... in the language they are most comfortable with!
