From the Editor

The "new Chronolog" reflects comments and suggestions from the Readership Survey completed in November and the focus sessions held in New York and London. Your main requests were (1) organize content by product–Dialog, DataStar, Profound, and OnDisc; (2) streamline stories so readers can see what’s new, yet have the option to read more online about Dialog products and databases of interest; (3) make the "look" of the newsletter more appealing; and (4) provide more searching tips and techniques. We got the message, and this issue contains many of those changes. We will continue to implement additions in future issues. 2002 promises to be a record year to bring enhancements and changes to products that customers have been requesting. Our big event is "NewsRoom," covered in the front page article. No matter which Dialog products you use or what subject areas you search, NewsRoom is important to you.
