Tymnet Network Change

Worldcom/Tynmet’s X.25 network will be terminated on March 31, 2002, and any local network with the Network User Address of 3110 (or 03110) will become invalid. All other networks will be operable and will not be affected. This will affect our users who access DialogClassic using X.25 dial-up access from points around the world.

To replace the roughly 500 worldwide and 1,000 U.S. domestic access points of Tymnet, Dialog has contracted with the UUNet/CompuServe network to provide X.25 dial-up access. A list of telephone numbers for local access is available at http://www.uu.net/index.xml and also at http://www.wcom.net/customer_support/access_numbers/index.shtml. Links to these sites will also be provided at http://support.dialog.com/searchaids/access/.

The logon procedure for UUNet/CompuServe is easy. Once the connection is made, press <ENTER>, then type 'dialog' at the Host Name prompt. Enter your Dialog user number and password at the prompts that follow. For additional information, please contact the Dialog Knowledge Center at 1-800-3DIALOG (334-2564) or your local Dialog office.
