New Content and Enhancements for Profound^®

In response to customer requests, Profound has added new content and enhancements.

Content

TableBase™ (File 93 on Dialog; BTBL on DataStar) will now be available on Profound. Accessible through WorldSearch, data from TableBase will provide valuable statistical information enhancing Profound's market research collection.

In addition, BrandLine can also be viewed through the drop down list in WorldSearch. BrandLine contains information from the following databases:

• Brands and Their Companies (File 116), a worldwide directory of over 282,000 consumer brand names and their owners or distributors
• SoftBase: Reviews, Companies, and Products (File 256), detailed descriptions and analysis from more than 200 business, computer, technical, trade, and consumer publications
• Thomas Register Online® (File 535), information on product information for U.S. and Canadian manufacturing companies
• All of the TRADEMARKSCAN® trademark databases

Improved Free-Text Context Searching and Document Formatting

The following enhancements will improve free-text context searching and enable documents to be formatted more easily:

• Faster retrieval speed for free-text searches
• Sections and tables that contain the terms searched, i.e., "the context," are highlighted on the table of contents page
• One-step selection of all sections containing the terms searched by clicking the "Select All" button
• Consistent display format for NewsLine (e.g., similar font and point size)
• Format enhancements on NewsLine offers improved readability for tables

New Terms Added to InfoSort Thesauri

Profound regularly reviews and updates its indexing terms to ensure that it offers relevant categories for new emerging markets. With the addition of new terms, users will benefit from up-to-date market sector terms; thus ensuring that Profound's indexing meets customer information needs.
