MIRA Company Profiles

Company profiles of the top players in the automotive industry are now available on ResearchLine from MIRA (The Motor Research Association). MIRA is an independent association of member companies that includes vehicle, system, and component manufacturers, material suppliers, oil companies, fleet operators, and consulting companies.

MIRA's Automotive Information Center publishes detailed profiles of over 150 of the world's major vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.

Content. From January 2001, each profile contains the following standard headings enabling users to find relevant material quickly in order to make rapid comparisons between companies:

• Corporate Overview: Address, History, Organization, Ownership
• Automotive Activities: Overview, Products, Customers
• Strategic Overview: Mission & Vision, Strategic Profile
• Financial Overview: A review and analysis of recent financial performance together with sales figures and other key data for the last five years

• Facilities: Divided into the geographic areas of Americas, Asia/Pacific, Europe, others
• Key Corporate Personnel
• Company News

Search Tips. Search Publications using Motor Industry in WorldSearch to retrieve all of the MIRA profiles. You can then pick the one you want and look at the Table of Contents. If you want a specific company, put the company name in either the title or the company name field, together with Motor Industry in Publications. MIRA is also available on DataStar as file label MIRA.
