Support : Publications : Chronolog Archives : September 2001 Unparalleled Pharmaceutical Coverage on Dialog® and DataStar Most of our users would agree that Dialog and DataStar's pharmaceutical coverage is unparalleled. But what is it exactly that makes our pharmaceutical offering so powerful? Over the years we have worked hard to give you all the sources you need on a day-to-day basis and also to ensure that this collection is well rounded and addresses all areas of drug information. For this issue of the Chronolog, we have selected a number of key sources and publishers with a view to showing you what we have achieved. Look for contributions about:
For an exhaustive list of pharmaceutical sources available on Dialog and DataStar we recommend you consult the 2001 Dialog Database Catalog or visit our web site at http://support.dialog.com/publications/dbcat/. We are pleased to announce the launch of two new databases on DataStar this September related to pharmaceuticals, also reviewed in this issue:
The loading of Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) introduces Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) as new and unique content on DataStar and is in recognition of the growing importance of EBM internationally. CDSR has been frequently requested by our customers, and we hope that you will be pleased that this file is now available. NewsRx (RXNS), from CW Henderson, offers 20 healthcare newsletters organized along therapeutic areas and complements our other news sources (from PJB, Adis, IMS and others). As an information professional, you need to know that you offer your company the best possible content and that you facilitate its decision making in all areas of research, product development, marketing and competitor analysis. As a Dialog or DataStar user, you are in the best position to do this, not only on the basis of our content, but also because our powerful search tools help you cut through the mass of pharmaceutical information added to our services every day. Of course, if you have any questions regarding Dialog or DataStar content or search features, our experienced Knowledge Center staff is here to help. If you have any comments for us in the pharmaceutical and healthcare content area, please send us an e-mail to . |
