Keeping Current with Dialog Alerts

Keeping up-to-date is a major competitive advantage in today's fast-paced technological workplace. The Dialog Alerts service lets you store a search and have it run automatically when a database is updated. The stored search is run against the new items in the database, and the results are sent to you immediately by e-mail, fax, or postal mail. Each of Dialog's products — DialogWeb, Dialog Classic, DialogClassicWeb, DialogSelect, Profound, DataStar, and Dialog1 — enables users to create their own Alerts.

For your convenience, all of the Dialog seminars, online courses, and applications briefings provide an application illustrating how to create Alerts in specific subject areas. In addition, a two-hour briefing, entitled Creating and Using Alerts, focuses specifically on creating Alerts using DialogWeb, Dialog Classic, Profound, and DataStar. Check the training schedule for classes held in your area. The workbook is also available online in the Training Center at http://support.dialog.com/training. Use the Dialog training materials as models and set up your own Alerts.
