Visto Mobile Personal Edition - Security

We worry about security so you don’t have to! We’ve designed Visto Mobile™ to the highest security standards so all your email messages and other important corporate information are safe and secure.

Visto Mobile Personal Edition is comprised of three parts: The Visto Mobile software you install on your phone, the Visto Mobile software you install on your computer and Visto’s Network Operations Center (NOC) – a secure gateway that passes data between your phone and your corporate network. These components work together with your company’s email server to deliver your email and other business information to your phone securely and in real-time.

We use Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)—a government-certified, encryption algorithm specified in the Federal Information Processing Standards publication 197 (FIPS-197) to encrypt all data traveling from your phone to its end destination and vice versa. Your vital data is never stored outside the firewall!

But security doesn’t stop at the communication path; Visto secures your mobile phone, too. If your phone gets lost or stolen, Visto's got you covered with our Remote Device Data Wipe feature. Simply call your customer service representative and within minutes all your email and PIM data are wiped clean from the phone and Visto Mobile is locked down.

If you find your phone again, you can log in to Visto Mobile and your account will be reactivated, your email and PIM data will re-sync with the server and you’ll be ready to go.
