Searching U.S. Trademark Databases (cont'd)

Jeri,

Thanks for such a quick response. Looks like Kirkbi will not bother to register the Legoland mark in California since the Federal registration covers the Legoland trademark nationwide. Do you think you could also find out whether Kirkbi has registered any trademarks in the U.S. that it "intends" to use?

Thank you for all of your help,
Ray

We can find all U.S. trademarks by searching the two U.S. trademark files together, just as we did with the European databases. We enter our search statement in the command text box:

begin 226,246

Search Tip 5-3:

To include all U.S. records, it is a good idea to search both U.S. files: TRADEMARKSCAN — U.S. Federal (File 226) and TRADEMARKSCAN — U.S. State (File 246).

Separate database numbers with a comma.

Example:
b 226,246
b ustmks
