Using Dialog Commands

In this lesson we will look briefly at the basic commands necessary to perform this search and use the commands in the Command search version of DialogWeb to see results.

The search below is demonstrated using DialogWeb 2.0. You will have a chance to try searching DialogWeb on your own for the practice exercises at the end of the lesson. The log on process is summarized in the Learn More. Learn More

To get started on DialogWeb 2.0, I will go to DialogWeb and logon by entering my user ID and password and clicking the logon button button. Click Go to Command Search.

For a brief step-by-step review of the DialogWeb log on procedure, click here.

The Command Search main page contains:

  1. A text box for entering Dialog search commands
  2. A Submit button that sends the command
  3. A Previous button that displays the most recent command entries

To answer Ray's request, we will choose the database TRADEMARKSCAN®–U.S. Federal (File 226). File 226 provides information on all active registered trademarks, service marks, and applications for registration filed at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This database should contain the trademark for Legoland if it is registered.

Go to the next page to look at the commands we will use in the search.
