Mergers, Acquisitions, Alliances, and Partnerships — Summary
In Lesson 6 we looked at ways to find information on mergers, acquisitions, alliances, and partnerships. We examined some of Dialog's database—File 551, TFSD Worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions and File 554, TFSD Joint Ventures & Alliances.
We also reviewed news sources worldwide by conducting a OneSearch in a group of Dialog news databases. These categories of news sources enable a searcher to cluster databases by region—for example, news databases in Europe or Latin America or Asia.
We can also search groups of U.S. news databases by region or state (e.g., PAPERSCA for California newspapers; PAPERSNE for papers in the Northeastern U.S.).
