Locating Company Analyst Reports
Analyst reports are very comprehensive. Business researchers often find that they only need one part of a report.
Records containing citations to reports are put online as soon as the reports are received by Investext and are available in PDF format. The citation records are updated a few days later with the full Table of Contents. Records can be searched on classic Dialog in File 745, as well as in DialogSelect, Intranet Toolkit, Dialog1, or DialogWeb. To retrieve only Table of Contents records use the database LIMIT qualifier /contents or SELECT a set number and dt=contents.
select s1 and dt=contents
We will TYPE out and browse some titles to determine which reports are of interest. From the title list, we'll select a report to TYPE out in full to view the Table of Contents and link out to specific page(s).

Enter type s1/free/1-10 or click
to browse the first ten record titles. Note the data provided for each record includes the company name, Investext ticker symbol, source, number of pages, the cost of each page of the report and the cost of a full report.

We can now display the Table of Contents of the report we wish to retrieve. In the command text box enter type s1/9/4.
For Bev's request, I think I'll look at report #4 to get a Morningstar report about Alcoa's outlook and finances.
