Using Market Research: Summary
In Lesson 3 we looked at databases and techniques for locating market research information. We explored the trade press using File 9, Business & Industry, and reviewed market research reports in the MARKETFULL databases.
Databases in the Market Research and MARKETFULL categories on Dialog will provide key components of a market analysis, such as market size, sales, major players and market share, trends, and forecasts. This data is important for a company to be competitive in the market place.
We also looke at two search features: DIALINDEX and REPORT TITLES.
DIALINDEX helped us to identify databases with information on specific search topics. REPORT TITLES enabled us to arrange market research reports and view their Tables of Contents.
