Refine Search
A search history page appears showing a set of records containing the number of records I found with my company name search.

Note that there are quite a number of entries. These can represent different locations for Apple Computer or subsidiaries.
We can restrict our search to the headquarters location using the prefix for special feature (SF=).

The search history page shows that I have refined my search to one entry.
I am now ready to view the record from my search that contains the headquarters location for Apple Computer.
I want to view Set 2. Since I have only one record, I can just click the
button next to Set 2, or I can enter the TYPE command:
Record
(portions of the record omitted
)

As you can see from the sample above, a Duns record gives the name, address, telephone number, type of business, SIC codes, and whether it is a public company. Dun and Bradstreet also provides a DUNS number, a unique number used by D&B to identify a specific company. Tip 1-5
For more in-depth information on a company's solvency, operations, and profitability, Dun and Bradstreet produces a Business Information Report (BIR). Tip 1-6
