Exercise 3:
Practice what you have learned in Lessons 1, 2 and 3. The following questions will require that you use all of the steps we have just completed.
First, create search strategies for the following searches.Then try logging on to DialogWeb and performing the requested searches. Remember, you will need to logon using the practice (ONTAP) user id and password provided in order to search at no cost.
Create search strategies for the following searches:
- Find U.S. patent number 4,378,441. (Use ONTAP CLAIMS, File 279).
- What other country issued a patent for U.S. patent 4,872,715? (Use ONTAP Derwent World Patents Index, File 280).
- Find German patent 3335908. (Hint: the country code is DE) (Use ONTAP Derwent World Patents Index, File 280).
