Here, I will enter the TYPE command (instead of clicking the display button) and request that the first five records from Set S4 be displayed in the SHORT format.

Picklist with SHORT format list of titles

We see a list of titles and descriptors as a result of using the SHORT format. We can scroll down the list to see which of the records we are interested in.

I think this list should help Brian as he compiles research on coral. I'll get him a few complete records as samples.

Formats vary across databases. Check the database Bluesheets documentation available online or in print for details on each database.

To display a list of all the formats available for a selected database, we can click the Formats option under Show Database Details.

We scroll down the screen and click the down arrow on the Format Numbers list box.

Search Tip 4-2:

The item numbers can indicate a single record, a range of records, or a non-sequential group of records.

We can enter the word ALL to view all the records in the set.
