Here, I will enter the TYPE command (instead of clicking the display button) and request that the first five records from Set S4 be displayed in Format 6 (titles). We can also use the FREE format to retrieve the same information as Format 6.

We see a list of titles and descriptors as a result of using the SHORT format. We can scroll down the list to see which of the records we are interested in.

Search Tip 4-2:

The item numbers can indicate a single record, a range of records, or a non-sequential group of records.

We can enter the word ALL to view all the records in the set.

To display a list of all the formats available for a selected database, we can click the Formats option under Show Database Details.

We scroll down the screen and click the down arrow on the Format Numbers list box.
