REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – September 14, 2005 – Visto Corporation, a leading global provider of secure push mobile email, today announced the appointment of four proven industry leaders to its management team in the United States, UK and Japan that includes: Stephen Anderson, chief financial officer; Frederic Aries, senior vice president and general manager, EMEA; Brian Marciniak, vice president of sales, Americas; and Toshihiko Kobayashi, country manager, Visto Japan. These appointments underscore Visto’s rapid corporate growth and commitment to supporting its carrier customers in delivering secure mobile business solutions such as email and PIM to enterprises worldwide.

During the past year, Visto has experienced strong growth and momentum, with the Visto Mobile solution currently available from more than 15 leading wireless operators around the world, including: Vodafone, the world’s largest mobile community; Rogers Wireless, Canada’s largest wireless operator; and Sprint-Nextel, a provider of fully integrated wireless communications services in the United States.
New Management Team Members
As Visto’s CFO, Steve Anderson brings more than 19 years of technology management and finance experience in both publicly traded and privately held companies. Prior to joining Visto, Anderson was the CFO at Trigo Technologies, Inc. where he managed all aspects of finance, accounting and operations. At Trigo, he successfully completed the sale of the company to IBM, resulting in significant return on investment for shareholders. He has also held CFO positions at Capstan Systems, Inc. and Navis LLC.
Frederic Aries joins Visto as general manager for Visto in the U.K. Aries brings a strong operations and management expertise to the company, which will be instrumental in driving growth for Visto’s EMEA region. Most recently, Aries was vice president, EMEA for Kabira Technologies where he grew a business that consistently represented 50% of Kabira’s revenues worldwide. Aries also spent 10 years at SUN Microsystems in a variety of marketing and sales management positions where he regularly exceeded revenue goals and successfully entered new markets.
Brian Marciniak joins Visto as vice president of sales, Americas, where he will be responsible for driving growth into the top-tier wireless carriers across the region. He brings more than 17 years of wireless/telecommunications experience selling a variety of software, system and SI solutions. Prior to joining Visto, Marciniak was vice president of sales, North America for LogicaCMG, a leading global provider of data messaging (SMS/MMS), mobile Internet, device management and intelligent billing solutions.
Toshihiko Kobayashi joins Visto as general manager for Visto Japan. He brings deep experience in the telecom market as well as growing businesses. Most recently, he was general manager of client solutions for EMC Japan where he managed all client activities, including all NTT Group companies, and managed a business with sales of more than $100M. Prior to EMC, Kobayashi -san spent more than 20 years at Oki Electric, a major telecom and IT equipment manufacturer in Japan, where he served in several key product management roles that included VoIP carrier-class products, next-generation PBX development and switch planning & development.
