Visto Corporation and Infowave Software Cease Litigation and Agree to Settlement Terms
Mobile email solution delivers secure over-the-air email, calendar, and contacts for broadest range of devices
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. & VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sept. 1, 2004 -- Visto Corporation (www.visto.com), the leading global provider of personal and corporate wireless email and PIM solutions to mobile operators for the broadest set of mobile device platforms, and Infowave Software, Inc. (www.infowave.com), (TSX:IW) a leading provider of enterprise mobile applications (EMA), today announced that the two companies have resolved the litigation between the parties and have entered into a settlement agreement that settles all claims between the two companies.
As part of the settlement, Infowave has acknowledged the validity of Visto's complete patent portfolio and Visto has granted Infowave a royalty-bearing license to those patents. Other details of the agreement were not disclosed.
