(REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., November 25, 2003 ) –Visto Corporation (www.visto.com), the leading provider of personal and corporate mobile access solutions that are easy to install, administer and use, announced today that it has entered into joint sales and marketing efforts to provide corporate wireless email solutions to AT&T Wireless’ business subscribers using the new Treo 600 on AT&T Wireless’ Next Generation Network. Under the agreement, Visto has begun to offer its corporate wireless messaging solution, Visto Mobile Access Solution, Server Edition, to business subscribers of AT&T Wireless through joint selling opportunities with the AT&T Wireless sales force throughout the United States. Visto supports a variety of corporate messaging devices including the Treo 600 which became available through AT&T Wireless today.
Visto Mobile Access Solution, Server Edition, provides wireless access to corporate email from Microsoft Exchange Server on wireless converged devices. Email sent to the corporate email account is “pushed” to the device through the AT&T Wireless network so mobile workers are able to stay productive while away from their desk. Email can be viewed, created, responded to, forwarded and deleted on the device, and is synchronized to Exchange/Outlook over the wireless network. Visto Mobile Access Solution, Server Edition email solution is deployed easily by corporate IT, generally in 20 minutes, without modifications to the corporate firewall. AT&T Wireless bills for the Visto services and their wireless data plan on a single invoice. AT&T Wireless has also been providing Mobile Office, a Visto-powered wireless email solution for individual mMode™ subscribers since last year.
Visto’s announcement coincides with AT&T Wireless’s launch of the popular Treo 600 smartphone. Visto announced support for the Treo 600 in July, and Visto continues to offer support for the Treo 600 on the AT&T Wireless network. Visto also supports a number of other devices, several on AT&T Wireless’ network, including Palm OS devices (including PalmOne Tungsten W), Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC and Smart Phone) including Siemens SX56, and Symbian and J2ME-based wireless devices.
“AT&T Wireless is an excellent partner for reaching corporate
America with Visto solutions,” said Brian Bogosian, chairman,
president and CEO of Visto. “They understand the value of
a total corporate package: a choice of a number of capable wireless
devices, aggressive data plan pricing with fast networks, and Visto’s
market leading wireless messaging solution for corporate email.”
