Visto Provides Wireless Email Access to Canadian Subscribers

Subtitle

(Redwood Shores, CALIF., April 28, 2003) – Visto Corporation (www.visto.com), the leading provider of personal and corporate mobile access solutions that are easy to install, administer and use, today announced an agreement to provide Bell Mobility subscribers system-wide with corporate and personal email on wireless devices. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Bell Mobility subscribers will be able to install and activate the InfoXpress™ service, a Bell Mobility branded version of Visto’s MessageXpress™ desktop and client solution, on selected wireless devices. Supported devices include Pocket PC OS devices such as the Audiovox Thera; Palm OS devices, such as the Kyocera 7135 and J2ME devices. InfoXpress service provides both online and offline email access, enabling convenient access to corporate email, such as Microsoft Outlook/Exchange and Lotus Notes/Domino, as well as POP3 email, while connected to the Bell Mobility network. The InfoXpress service will also allow subscribers to read, edit and create email when they are in an area without wireless coverage and then synchronize their email between their device and desktop solution when back in a coverage area.

“Bell Mobility is a leader and innovator in wireless services, and understands the value of providing their subscribers with reliable access to personal and corporate email on their wireless devices,” said Jean Tripier, Senior Vice President of Global Carrier Sales for Visto. “We believe this is a perfect fit for Bell Mobility because Visto supports the converged smart phones in use by many of their subscribers and has the proven, secure infrastructure wireless operators and enterprises require.”

“Messaging solutions like Visto's give enterprise customers a choice in the type of device their mobile professionals use to access email, said Tole Hart, analyst for Gartner Research. “Visto's email solution gives enterprises the flexibility in the devices and services they choose, and carriers the flexibility in offering different devices for email access.”
