Create an Alert to Track Newly Filed Applications in the U. S. Trademark Office That Are Similar to My Marks?

TOPIC: It is important to watch for newly filed trademark applications for marks that may
conflict with or will be likely to cause confusion with your mark. If such a mark is found,
the owner of the first mark can take action such as sending a "cease and desist" letter
immediately or watching a potentially confusing mark until it publishes and the owner of
the first mark is able to file an opposition proceeding with the Trademark Trial and
Appeal Board (TTAB) against registration of the mark.

In this example you are you are watching several trademarks to make sure others are not similar to them. You will search the TRADEMARKSCAN—U.S. Federal (File 226) file, which covers all active, registered trademarks and service marks and applications for registration filed for marks used or intended to be used on every type of product or service that is marketed commercially in the U.S.
