Find Top Pharmaceutical Drugs by Sales for a Particular Year?

TOPIC: Frequently searchers want to identify information on the top prescription drugs. This is best done in business information databases such as Business & Industry™ (File 9) and Gale Group PROMT® (File 16). PROMT and Business & Industry cover multiple industries, companies, products and markets worldwide and contain trade and business journals, regional, national and international newspapers and news releases.

In this example, using both databases, you want to find the top worldwide sales for prescription drugs for 2005.

HOW TO...


1. BEGIN 9,16 to search multi-industry databases.

 

2. Select the type of product using PN= for product name. Note that two forms of the product name are used, one for each database.

3. Use keywords to focus the search.

 

 

4. Then combine the sets and narrow to the year(s) you want.

5. TYPE the titles using Format 6.

6. Click Links > Display > Full Record to see the entire record.
