Find a List of Companies Working on a Particular Therapeutic Class of Drugs?

TOPIC: R&D databases summarize information about forthcoming products and provide additional drug nomenclature for follow-up in medical bibliographic files. IMS R&D Focus (File 445) provides information on scientific and commercial developments in international pharmaceutical research and development. File 445 also highlights new drugs in research, changes in development phases, and licensing opportunities. In this example, you want to find companies that are working in the area of antiarthritic drugs that are in clinical trials.

You will use the therapeutic class code for antirheumatic drugs (M2). Then using the RANK command you can retrieve a list of companies that have drugs in this therapeutic class in a stage of development beyond the preclinical stage. Companies with most entries will be listed first.
