Find Patent Assignees Worldwide for Patents From a Specific Company?
TOPIC: In this example, you will obtain patent assignees worldwide for patents from the company AT&T Wireless. When searching worldwide for patents assigned or reassigned to a particular company or individual, no single Dialog database will retrieve comprehensive results. Therefore, it is advisable to search multiple patent files to ensure that all relevant records are retrieved. The IDPAT command can then be used to identify and eliminate duplicate patent records among the patent files.
For a comprehensive patent assignee search in the patent files (PATENTS), it is recommended that you search the company name in the Patent Assignee field (PA=) of all patent files and in the new Patent Assignee field (RA=) of the U.S. patent files that include legal status data (Files 123 and PATFULL).
