Find the Results of Reexamination of a Specific U.S. Patent?

TOPIC: In this example, you will find results of the reexamination of U.S. patent 6527266. You can use CLAIMS®/Current Patent Legal Status (File 123) to find the most current legal status for U.S. patents. U.S. Patents Fulltext (File 654) also contains some legal status although not necessarily with as much detail as in File 123.

COMMAND SUMMARY

BEGIN 123
SELECT PN=US 6527266 AND DT=REEXAMINED
TYPE S1/9/1

HOW TO...

1. BEGIN 123, CLAIMS/Current Legal Status, for the most up-to-date U.S. patent legal status.

2. SELECT U.S. patent number (PN=) and the type of document (DT=reexamined).

3. TYPE the patent using Format 9 to see all reexamined data.

The record shows results for the first claim affected.

Note: More detailed information concerning the result of the reexamination can often be obtained by ordering through SourceOne. The order based on the patent number often retrieves both the original patent and the reexamination certificate. See How Do I Order a Patent From Thomson Patent Store.
