Find an Analyst Report for a U.S. Company?
TOPIC: Investext® PDF Fulltext (File 745) is an index to company, industry, and topical research reports written by analysts at more than 600 leading investment banks, brokerage houses and consulting firms worldwide. Records containing citations to reports are put online as soon as the reports are received by Investext and are available in PDF format; the citation records are updated a few days later with the full Table of Contents.
Investext provides in-depth analysis and data on approximately 60,000 international publicly traded companies, including sales and earnings, forecasts, market share projections and research and development expenditures. File 745 provides access to the entire collection of reports available from Investext from August 1999 forward.
In this example, you will find analyst reports for agricultural processor Archer Daniels Midland Company.

HOW TO...
1. BEGIN File 745 to search Investext® PDF Fulltext.
2. VISUAL EXPAND the Company Name (CO=). Sometimes it helps to expand just the first name of the company. It turns out Investext indexes this company name with hyphens.
Note: You can also search by Ticker Symbol (TS=), but be aware that Investext ticker symbols are those assigned by Investext and may not necessarily be related to stock exchange symbols.
3. Check the appropriate entries and click Select. |

4. TYPE a few records in Format 8 to browse titles, publishing analysts, report numbers, pagination, descriptors, publication dates, ticker symbol and document type: whether citation or table of contents.
Note: Some records have been omitted from this display.
To select the appropriate record number, look at the range of records in the TYPE command (e.g., 1/8/2). |

Note that the records can either be Citation records or Contents records. In a few days a Citation record becomes Contents once the Table of Contents is added. All of the records shown here are Contents records.
5. To see the Table of Contents, click Links > Table of Contents. |

6. Click a hyperlinked page number to obtain that page or section of the report.
