International Monetary Fund Librarian Wins Free Dialog Usage

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Librarian Jane Keneshea recently won US$500 in free usage on Dialog for her library. The prize was part of a random drawing held for anyone who subscribed to one or more of Dialog’s new topical e-newsletters between November 15, 2005, and December 31, 2005.

"This is a nice surprise for the new year," said Jane. "I have been a fan of Dialog since around 1978, when I attended my first training class."

Dialog appreciates everyone who signed up for the e-newsletters and entered for a chance to win US$500 in free usage on Dialog. By signing up for the e-newsletters, you are guaranteed to be better informed about Dialog's products and content collection.

Sci-Tech Content Updates

Energy Science & Technology (File 103) Expands Access

This file is a valuable source of international information on all aspects of energy science, and is very strong on alternative fuels and the whole question of global warning.

Medical Coverage Added to World Textiles

World Textiles™ (File 67), produced by Elsevier, has been significantly enhanced with new coverage on the use of textiles in the medical environment. The added records relate to subjects such as protective materials, dressings, medical equipment, medical clothing, textiles finishing and washing, etc. This enhancement is currently exclusive to Dialog. World Textiles is the leading bibliographic information source on textiles, technology and applications as reported in technical, scientific, economic and commercial journals, and statistical publications. In addition, World Textiles includes unique coverage of the related patents and patent applications from the USPTO, European and British patent offices.
