Search Solutions

For professional searchers who want to search ProQuest Dialog using commands, Search Solutions are now available in Command Line search on the most-requested information on ProQuest Dialog. Topics cover searching for a biomedical subject, locating drug names, clinical trials or market share information on a drug. Other search solutions focus on technical subjects, including authors and experts in engineering fields. Search Solutions using Advanced Search are also available. Check back often for new solutions in both Advanced and Command Line search.

At-a-Glance ProQuest Dialog modules

Dialog At A GlanceFollowing the latest release of ProQuest Dialog on July 1, updated and new At-a-Glance, how-to modules are available:

  • Use the Thesaurus provides step-by-step instructions on using the Emtree thesaurus in Embase.
  • Billing Invoice Details — If your organization uses ProQuest Dialog transactionally, a new tool enables you to generate reports for tracking usage. To learn more about this tool, review the module:  Understanding Your ProQuest Dialog Invoice.
  • An updated ProQuest Dialog Fast Start Guide with descriptions of tools and links to search materials will help you search ProQuest Dialog.

Did you know that as of July 1, 2012, you can . . .

  •  Batch Download all for up to 4,000 records?
  •  View search...Download all to applications including Excel, RefWorks, RIS and XML?
  • View search...Link to DOI (Digital Object Interface) where present in a record?
  • View search...Use unlimited open truncation?
  • View search...Run a new search from chosen “Narrow results by” filters? In this example you are doing competitive intelligence in Gale Group PROMT for companies developing products in areas of robotic surgery or magnetic resonance imaging. On the Results page, click More options; select term(s) for which you wish to run a new, separate search on particular companies. Click Run new search.
  • View search...Export and save a “Narrow results by” filter list.
