Tim Wahlberg ProQuest and Dialog recently welcomed Tim Wahlberg as the new General Manager/Vice President, Corporate Markets, with responsibility for driving the vision for Dialog and ProQuest in the professional environment. Tim joins ProQuest from Thomson Reuters, where he held a variety of strategy and operating roles, most recently as Vice President of the Corporate Segment for the legal business unit. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge, strategic orientation and a track record of driving results, which makes him an ideal leader of the team.

New business content added to ProQuest products

Worker Nine new reports from the International Labour Organization (ILO) include "Global Wage Report," "World of Work Report," "Occupational Wages and Hours of Work and Retail Food Prices," "Global Employment Trends," "World of Work," "A Guide to Worker Displacement: Some Tools for Reducing the Impact on Workers, Communities and Enterprises" and "Issues – International Labour Organization." All of these reports have been loaded into ABI/INFORM Complete™, with six also in ABI/INFORM Global and three in ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry™.

Additional business content includes publications from The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., The Professional Book Group — with five titles including "How to Plan and Execute Strategy: 24 Steps to Implement Any Corporate Strategy Successfully," "How to Import: How to Take Your Business Across Borders." NewspaperDirect PressDisplay becomes available to corporate searchers

Press Display With countries and governments changing at an unprecedented pace, it is vital to businesses to protect their interests by keeping up with international news. PressDisplay (Corporate) provides online access to today's newspapers from 93 countries in 44 languages in full-color, full-page format. The ever-expanding collection currently includes 1,000 titles. Just like reading the familiar print edition, viewers can browse articles and other key content, such as pictures, advertisements, classifieds, and notices. The service also provides up to a 60-day rolling backfile and the ability to perform keyword searches across all titles and the entire archive.

PressDisplay's SmartNavigation provides additional functionality such as translating an article in up to 12 different languages, newspaper audio, listen to an article, blog and Digg™ articles, link articles to Facebook and the social bookmarking Web service Delicious, and print an entire full-image page or an article in ASCII format.

Recognizing the timely importance of understanding global socioeconomic, political and economic developments, Dialog offers World News Connection® (WNC®) (File 985). Compiled by Open Source Center (OSC) from the U.S. government and produced by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), the database brings thousands of non-U.S. media sources, translated into English, to the WNC user desktop, usually within 24-72 hours from the time of the original publication or broadcast and the file updates multiple times per day.

Coverage is comprehensive from newspaper and magazine articles (both hard copy and e-copy), television and radio broadcasts, blogs, conference proceedings and technical reports, including journals and gray literature, which allows you to take advantage of the intelligence analysis by the OCS.
