Attendees were engaged, enthusiastic and enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about ProQuest Dialog. Their response was extremely positive. Watch for upcoming sessions in London, as well as WebEx sessions across Europe and North America. “ProQuest Dialog has come a very long way for Interactive Search over recent months, and we are very keen to ensure our customers are fully equipped to get the best experience when they use it,” said Jason Leadley, Director Global Customer Support. He continued, “We are offering user education initiatives including online, remote and on-site training events, and I would encourage all users to take full advantage of this resource and to contact us for all manner of support.” Check the ProQuest Dialog Web site for more information, or contact your account manager or customer@dialog.com for further details.

Gain precision by using the indexes in Dialog NewsRoom Dialog NewsRoom (File 990) is a dynamic, comprehensive, global news source that is the go-to place for late-breaking news on competitors, countries, world economic and financial developments, and product launches. Its rich indexing enhances the ability to find highly specific, relevant articles. To search for a specific industry, use the Industry Name field (PN=), for example PN=ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. Besides industry/product names, this field contains other descriptors, e.g. REGULATION, ECONOMIC FORECASTS, ECONOMIC INDICATORS, BALANCE OF PAYMENTS. For best results, EXPAND on the PN= field. The European Union appears both in the Industry Name (PN=) field and the Geographic Name (/GN, GN=) fields. S GN=EUROPEAN UNION To retrieve all entries: S GN,PN=EUROPEAN UNION Countries, regions and continents are indexed on the Geographic Name (/GN, GN=) field. Since NewsRoom is updated continuously throughout the day, search on just today’s news on a country: S GN=GREECE AND PD=20120524 Broaden the search a little by searching for Greece on the Geographic Name OR the Title field: S GREECE/TI,GN AND PD=20120524 Use Remove Duplicates (RD) after narrowing a search to below 1,000 records.
