COST

The COST command can be entered at any time during a search session to view the estimated costs accumulated up to that moment.

The cost estimate that is displayed following the COST command is identical in format to the cost estimate that automatically follows the commands BEGIN, LOGOFF,and LOGOFF HOLD. The COST command, however, does not change databases, erase sets, or disconnect you from DialogLink; it merely displays the cost estimate without interfering with the search process.

To have the automatic cost display permanently suppressed for a given Searcher, Project and Client, select Configuration > Settings. In the Searcher, Projects and Clients window, highlight a Searcher or Project and Client entry and click Edit. In the Edit window, click Preferences. In the Preferences window, set the Show Estimated Cost Summary option to Off. If the automatic display of cost information is suppressed, you may still enter the COST command at any time to view estimated costs.

You may also use View > Accounting Report to display cost information.
