Jean Tripier

EVP of Strategic Alliances & Business Development - CSO

Mr. Tripier joined Visto in September of 2002. With most of his career spent in the wireless telecommunication industry, Jean has held multiple business development and operational positions worldwide.

A French native, he joined AirTouch (now Vodafone) in 1995 as Director of Business Development in Europe and was a board member of two AirTouch ventures. Having helped secure a GSM license in Romania, he became the senior Vodafone representative during the start-up of Connex GSM, a cellular operator that now counts over 4 million subscribers in Romania.

Jean's last position with Vodafone was as Vice President, Corporate Development with responsibility over Asia. In that role, he worked on both acquisitions and disposals for transactions ranging in size from less than $100 million to over $2 billion. Prior to joining Vodafone, Jean was Director of Business Planning for Unisource Business Networks (Netherlands) and worked as a consultant in the telecommunication practice of Booz.Allen & Hamilton for a range of wireless customers.

Jean is a graduate from Harvard Business School where he was elected Baker Scholar. He also holds a BA from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris.
