Microsoft and Visto have partnered to promote and market Visto Mobile Personal Edition mobile email/PIM solution jointly to mobile operators. Visto Mobile Personal Edition is a flexible set of custom-branded applications and services that let mobile operators provide subscribers with real-time, secure, remote access to their corporate and personal email, PIM and files directly from their mobile devices. With Visto Mobile Personal Edition mobile operators can address a broad range of market segments that include individual subscribers, SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), and mobile professionals working for medium and large enterprises. PalmSource and Visto are working together to build a standard enterprise-grade wireless email client for the Palm OS platform. PalmSource and Visto will co-market the new default messaging solution to Palm OS licensees and their wireless operators, resulting in easier integration with existing IT infrastructures.
